Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations in our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, logistics, and inventory control. As a Warehouse Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, supervising staff, and maintaining safety standards while meeting operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate and execute daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff to enhance performance and productivity.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse.
- Manage inventory control processes to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
- Oversee the organization of the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency in e-commerce fulfillment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven leadership experience in a warehouse setting.
- Should have a minimum of 3 years experience in the field of warehouse operations and material handling.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years experience driving forklifts, should have experience handling heavy and bulky items.
- Must have a valid forklift license.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control at operational and administrative level.
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes within a 3PL environment is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 70 pounds) as required by the role.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory control.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with other departments.
- Experience using powered and non-powered hand tools.
- Being bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
