The Contents Project Manager oversees the day-to-day execution of contents projects in the field and at the warehouse, including pack-out, cleaning, inventory, storage, and pack-back of customer belongings. Reporting to the Contents Operations/Production Manager, this is a lead role responsible for directing crews on assigned jobs, ensuring work is performed carefully, accurately, and to SERVPRO quality standards, and providing hands-on guidance and feedback to technicians. This position provides day-to-day direction to crews on the job but does not carry formal personnel-management responsibilities such as hiring, discipline, or performance reviews.

Job Description
The Contents Project Manager oversees the day-to-day execution of contents projects in the field and at the warehouse, including pack-out, cleaning, inventory, storage, and pack-back of customer belongings. Reporting to the Contents Operations/Production Manager, this is a lead role responsible for directing crews on assigned jobs, ensuring work is performed carefully, accurately, and to SERVPRO quality standards, and providing hands-on guidance and feedback to technicians. This position provides day-to-day direction to crews on the job but does not carry formal personnel-management responsibilities such as hiring, discipline, or performance reviews.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day execution of assigned contents projects from pack-out through pack-back.
- Provide clear direction, guidance, and real-time feedback to contents crews and technicians.
- Establish efficient job flow, set up staging areas, and coordinate the requirements for each job.
- Perform and oversee pack-out, inventory, cleaning, storage, and pack-back of customer belongings.
- Ensure accurate documentation, photography, labeling, and tracking of all customer contents.
- Ensure crews follow SERVPRO processes and complete all work per the work order and scope.
- Monitor production progress against the schedule and communicate status to the Operations/Production Manager and Job File Coordinator.
- Identify safety hazards, communicate them, and enforce all safety procedures on the job site and in the warehouse.
- Review and ensure complete, accurate job file and inventory documentation.
- Communicate professionally with customers, adjusters, and other stakeholders regarding their belongings.
- Monitor and control job costs, labor time, and material usage on assigned projects.
- Ensure proper care, protection, and maintenance of equipment, tools, vehicles, and storage areas.
- Resolve day-to-day production issues quickly and escalate concerns to the Operations/Production Manager as needed.
- Ensure job sites and storage areas are left clean, secure, and orderly.
- Support the training and development of technicians by demonstrating best practices and sharing knowledge.
- Prior contents/restoration experience, including experience leading or directing a crew, preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and knowledge of contents handling, inventory, and cleaning processes.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- IICRC certifications and/or previous fire/water/mold property restoration experience preferred.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and direct crews on the job site and provide constructive day-to-day feedback.
- Docusketch experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license, approved by our insurance company, required.
- Ability to travel locally or out of state when necessary.
- Must be able to work in person and travel to job sites as needed. Available for weekend and after-hours on-call rotation.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States and able to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.
- Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Repetitive pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of objects throughout the day.
- Walking and standing for long periods, as well as driving, sitting, and climbing.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights.
- Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces under buildings and attics).
- Exposure to chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise.
- Occasional exposure to extreme conditions such as heat, cold, and noxious odors.
- Required to occasionally wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
