The Work You'll Do:
Sovos has been growing steadily over the past few years and our Accounts Receivable Team needs to grow with it! We are looking to add a Collections Analyst to our growing Accounting team. The Collections Analyst is primarily responsible for timely collection of open accounts receivable balances, resolution of disputed items and preparation of management reports including budgeting and forecasting for billing and receivables. If you are the kind of person who likes numbers, but also has no problem jumping on a phone with a client – then we want to hear from you! More specifically you will:
- Contact customers to ensure payment made timely on accounts including placing daily collection calls
- Develop positive relationships while maintaining customer standards with a focus on problem solving
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies for customer accounts
- Timely and professional responses to customer inquiries
- Complete monthly delinquency meetings with Finance and business leaders
- Perform effectively in a high volume and fast paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and productivity
- Perform required tasks independently as well as contribute as needed in a team environment
- Track and submit refunds for customers with credit balances
- Investigate and assist with resolving disputes on customer accounts
- Coordinate with operational leaders to resolve customer service facing issues
- Assist with additional accounting tasks and projects as assigned
- Due to federal contracts in place, you must be able to pass a background check and drug screening upon offer
What We Need From You:
- 1-3 years Accounts Receivable and Collection experience
- Intermediate Excel knowledge.
- Must be well organized and a self-starter.
- Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills.
