What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Technician position at SOVA Automotive?
Assist SOVA Automotive with the day to day operations of a successful car rental business. You’ll be responsible for various daily operations such as conducting maintenance, repair, diagnostics, cleaning, and transport of vehicles. While also supporting the team by providing assistance/communication to improve the customer experience, taking proper documentation of vehicle condition, and maintaining automotive supplies and inventory.
In addition to operating daily Automotive tools and equipment, usage of the following business equipment will also be required: Computer/laptop, telephone system, multipurpose copier, scanner, and calculator. Working knowledge of Google Search, Drive, Gmail, and a general knowledge of Windows. Ability to adapt to changing job needs easily and to maintain advanced skill levels as processes & technology advances.
Responsibilities (The Automotive Assistant/Technician’s duties include but are not limited to):
- Performing general automotive duties, including vehicle maintenance, repair, diagnostics, cleaning, refueling, and transportation
- Conducting vehicle inspections and checking car conditions before and after trips
- Tidying and maintaining the work/parking area
- Maintaining inventory of automotive supplies
- Conducting basic automotive research in order to find quality and budget friendly parts and automotive supplies using Google Search
- Assisting our Manager with day-to-day operational duties
- Taking initiative to analyze, change and/or develop systems to improve operational/automotive efficiencies
- Handling client questions or complaints, taking and relaying messages, and providing information to potential customers

- Automotive mechanical knowledge and experience
- This individual will need to have the ability to prioritize different tasks based on the business workflow
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all circumstances

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
