The Production Inspector is responsible for inspection of products or units for compliance with blueprints and specifications including weight test requirements. This position is located at our Manila, AR facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect production and finished goods or units for compliance with blueprints and other specifications in order to communicate findings with production personnel
- Occasionally interpret job routes and ensure instructions are followed in the work area
- Interpret all weld symbols and instructions and distinguish weld quality
- Inspect painted units for good paint processes and paint quality
- Provide department employees with guidance, direction and technical assistance with correcting/avoiding errors
- Develop and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Provide customer satisfaction through quality inspections of work in process, and final inspection in shipping
- Represent the shop floor at quality meetings and on improvement teams as required to ensure customer satisfaction
- Perform other duties and complete other assignments as may be required or assigned
Qualifications Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience reading and understanding blueprints, welding techniques, painting and metal fabrication
- Developed communication skills and computer proficiency MS Office
- Experience communicating errors and error-prevention techniques through personal interaction based on trust, respect, communication, problem solving with individuals and the team
- Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours while performing the job
- Ability to lift to 30 to 60 lbs safely and consistently
- Must be able to bend, twist, reach, and grasp items for inspection
