Southwoods Health is hiring a Per Diem Sleep Clinical Assistant for our Southwoods Sleep Centers Clinic. The Sleep Clinical Assistant will work with his/her team and partners with the physician and/or other health care professionals to evaluate and provide direction to comprehensive, quality patient care. Is trained and responsible for performing a wide range of skilled administrative and clinical duties.
Essential Duties:
Southwoods Health is hiring a Per Diem Sleep Clinical Assistant for our Southwoods Sleep Centers Clinic. The Sleep Clinical Assistant will work with his/her team and partners with the physician and/or other health care professionals to evaluate and provide direction to comprehensive, quality patient care. Is trained and responsible for performing a wide range of skilled administrative and clinical duties.
Essential Duties:
- Create a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment for patients and visitors through exceptional customer service.
- Rooms patients in a timely manner utilizing two patient identifiers.
- Obtain and record vital signs, major complaint, medications and allergies in patient chart
- Report and record patient critical lab values, adverse reactions, and pertinent information promptly to physician and team members
- Generate follow-up orders to include diagnostic testing, treatment and Durable Medical Equipment orders.
- Able to schedule appointments, answer phones, filing, prepare and maintain medical records, and other administrative duties as assigned
- Recognizes patients’ rights and responsibilities and supports them in performance of job duties
- Ensure all processes at responsible physician practice maintains compliance with all regulatory agencies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Current BLS Certification through AHA
- Training or courses in business office activities, computer skills, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to handle several priorities at once
- Great degree of flexibility and organizational skill as priorities will change frequently
- Maintain professional demeanor at all times, strong ethical and moral principles
- Previous EMR experience, preferred
- 1 years of experience direct related to patient care, preferred
Per Diem. Hours may vary. Dayshift.
