Sleep Assistant Manager
Southwoods Health is hiring Sleep Assistant Manager. The Sleep Assistant Manager will supervise operations of the Sleep Medicine Clinic and assists Sleep Lab Manager on daily operations that may include patient follow-up care, policy revision, process improvements, and staff education. Assistant Manager can perform duties designated for polysomnographic technologist and may provide oversight of other staff.
Essential Duties:
Southwoods Health is hiring Sleep Assistant Manager. The Sleep Assistant Manager will supervise operations of the Sleep Medicine Clinic and assists Sleep Lab Manager on daily operations that may include patient follow-up care, policy revision, process improvements, and staff education. Assistant Manager can perform duties designated for polysomnographic technologist and may provide oversight of other staff.
Essential Duties:
- Participates as a team member in support of patient outcomes and experiences
- Maintains patient privacy and ensures confidentiality of protected information
- Participates in continuing education and other learning experiences
- Plans care in order to meet the needs of patient safely and effectively
- Ensures all necessary medical information is entered in Electronic Medical Record.
- Manages PAP Assessment Program and monitors compliance of patients
- Monitors Inspire Therapy Candidates and ensures proper scheduling of follow-up visits, DISE inspections and fine-tune sleep studies
- Accurately reviews, revises and disseminates interpretation reports for Sleep Medicine Director
- Generates follow-up orders to include diagnostic testing, treatment and Durable Medical Equipment orders.
- Performs charge entry for sleep studies in managers absence
- Collects, analyze and integrate patient information in order to identify and meet patient needs
- Prepares and calibrates equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning, apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards, perform physiological calibrations to ensure proper signals, and perform routine positive airway pressure mask fitting
- Follows procedure protocols to ensure collection of appropriate data
- Scores polysomnographs and generates appropriate reports.
Qualifications:
- Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds either the Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Sleep Disorder Specialist (SDS) credential.
- AHA BLS certification
- Critical thinking and problem-solving
- Leadership skills and ability to appropriately delegate
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to articulately document clinical picture
- Prioritization and time management
- Maintains professional demeanor at all times
Full-time. Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm.
