Join a premier care team in 2026. Southwoods Health is seeking a professional and dedicated Medical Assistant to support our Gastroenterology practice in Boardman. In this role, you will partner with physicians and clinical staff to provide high-quality, comprehensive care to our patients.

Your Responsibilities

• Clinical Excellence: Room patients, verify identity using two identifiers, and accurately record vitals, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.
• Specimen & Lab Support: Collect and process specimens according to strict protocols and ensure timely transport; promptly report critical lab values to providers.
• Administrative Flow: Assist with scheduling, phone triage, and medical record maintenance to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Service & Compliance: Maintain a friendly, professional environment while upholding patient rights and meeting all regulatory agency standards.
  
  
  

Qualifications

One of the following is required:

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Active certification (RMA, CMA, or CCMA).
• At least one (1) year of experience working as a Medical Assistant.
  
  
  

Additional Requirement:

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  
  
  

Schedule (Monday–Friday)

This full-time position features variable shifts to support office operations:

• 6:30 am – 3:00 pm
• 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
