What are the responsibilities and job description for the Federal Work Study - The SPOT Student Host position at Southwestern Oregon Community College?
As a Student Host, you’ll help operate the SPOT, SWOCC’s free on-campus student pantry, and support basic needs access across campus. This student-facing role is ideal for those passionate about helping others and gaining experience in peer support, resource connection, and community outreach. Student Hosts create a welcoming environment where peers can access food, hygiene items, and other essentials with dignity, supporting campus wellness, equity, and student success.

Description of Department Services: Opportunity Programs include STEP (SNAP Training & Employment Program), Benefits Navigation, and ICAP (Inclusive Career Advancement Program), each providing support for students' academic and career goals while addressing funding and resource gaps in education and employment.
*3 to 20 hours per week*
Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Must be eligible to receive FWS based on financial need and eligibility requirements determined by FAFSA.
