ANNOUNCEMENT: Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the part-time SWIC Educational Employee position of Advocacy Representative.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this is a part-time, grant-funded position which generally works 15 hours per week. The work schedule is flexible. Work consists of serving as an advocate for senior citizens, assisting with completion of various forms, and providing support for the sick or elderly. Applicants for and employees within this position are subject to criminal background checks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Two (2) years’ experience in dealing with the elderly required, preferably in a social service setting.
3. Computer experience to include Microsoft Office and internet navigation.
4. Ability to pass a background check.
SALARY: $15.30 per hour, up to 28 hours per week
