This role includes implementing standards-based curriculum and laboratory instruction that prepares students for certification and entry-level employment in the field. The teacher collaborates with community healthcare partners to assist in the transition to the healthcare workforce.Qualifications- A minimum of five years of full time experience as a Phlebotomist.- Teaching experience is helpful but not required.- Knowledge of the skills required for entry level positions in the industry.- Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to become certified.- Ability to work effectively with staff and students.Performance Responsibilities- Develop and teach a curriculum that aligns with industry standards.- Form positive relationships with students and effectively manage a classroom of adult learners. - Facilitate a Program Advisory Committee of local industry partners to guide the launching of the program.- Maintain a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting.- Participate in professional development and assist with recruitment activities.- Prepare students for taking national certification exams.*Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
