What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomy Technician position at Battenkill Valley Health Center, Inc.?
Battenkill Valley Health Center is seeking a proficient and responsible, part-time phlebotomist. The ideal candidate is a flexible team player, who is attentive to details, can work independently, and demonstrates excellent customer service skills while exercising sound judgement in a fast-paced primary care setting.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collection of specimens ordered by providers that will aid in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of disease.
- Performing all phlebotomy procedures in accordance with BVHC Policies and Procedures.
- Accurately identifying patient and collecting appropriate specimens.
- Maintaining specimen integrity by collecting and transporting specimens in a timely manner.
- Completing accurate and appropriate documentation.
- Ordering and maintaining lab supplies.
- Assisting the Medical Clinic Manager with vaccine management.
- Other duties to support the Clinical Team.
EHR experience required | Microsoft Office experience required | Experience working within a medical practice preferred
