What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Wellpoint Foreman/Installer position at Southwest Utility Systems Inc?
Southwest Utility Systems is looking for an experienced Wellpoint Foreman / Installer to handle dewatering operations on water, sewer, and drainage projects.
This is a hands-on position for someone who can both lead a crew and work in the field installing and maintaining wellpoint systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and work with crew installing and removing wellpoint systems
- Layout, jet, set, and connect wellpoints and header pipe
- Set up, operate, and maintain pumps, generators, and dewatering equipment
- Monitor system performance and make adjustments as needed
- Troubleshoot pump and system issues in the field
- Read plans and understand dewatering requirements
- Coordinate with superintendent and pipe crews
- Maintain production while enforcing safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience with wellpoint installation and dewatering systems (REQUIRED)
- Experience as a foreman, lead installer, or senior wellpoint tech preferred
- Knowledge of pumps, suction lines, discharge lines, and system balancing
- Experience on underground utility projects (water, sewer, storm) strongly preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in all conditions
- Leadership skills and ability to manage a crew
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation to job sites
