Objectives of this Role:
- Serve as a research technologist supporting the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced and novel robotic systems.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to identify and refine system requirements and specifications.
- Develop novel electro-mechanical design using industry-standard software tools.

- Lead hardware and system interface design for projects in the Robotics Department.
- Lead identification of power, communication, computation, and signal requirements for robotic systems.
- Generate system block diagrams and detailed electrical diagrams.
- Participate in all phases of the development cycle, including requirements definition, hardware/software systems design, implementation, testing, and integration.
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology. In lieu of a Bachelors degree a high school diploma or equivalent with 25 years of relevant experience and continued education and/or certifications will be considered.
- 10 years: Substantial experience in a relevant role related to robotics and/or industrial automation.
- Strong electro-mechanical design skills required.
- Ability to safely operate, drive, enter/exit vehicles quickly and safely, climb vehicle ladders, navigate around cables and crawl into vehicle interior spaces.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
