Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Heavy Equipment Operator. Offices located in Felda, FL, with work sites spread across the state. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and inspecting various types of heavy equipment used in excavation and material handling. Daily tasks include ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment, performing routine maintenance, and following safety protocols and worksite regulations. The role may also involve working in diverse weather conditions and collaborating with the team to complete assigned projects.
Qualifications
- Proficient in the operation of heavy equipment, including excavation and material handling machinery.
- Knowledge and experience in equipment maintenance and servicing tasks.
- Familiarity with used equipment inspection and proper handling techniques.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and adherence to worksite regulations.
- Valid driver's license and, if required, a commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Physical stamina and ability to work in outdoor and variable weather conditions.
- Prior experience with similar roles in the construction or agricultural industry is a plus.
