What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Assistant position at SouthWest Metro Intermediate District 288?
- Sets up, installs, configures, tests, updates, and maintains computers, peripheral devices, and/or related software andhardware; repairs computers and peripheral devices;
- Troubleshoots, diagnoses, reports on, and resolves problems associated with applicable information technology equipment and software; researches technological solutions when necessary; configures switches, routers, phones, and wireless access points; resolves network issues;
- Provides help-desk telephone support and on-going troubleshooting assistance to users regarding complex information technology and/or hardware, software, and/or other related items; coordinates technical support with vendors for installations, repairs, and/or maintenance issues;
- Maintains and monitor technology inventories including monitoring supply levels and ordering necessary supplies; prioritizes purchasing needs;
- Maintains school databases, files, and/or related information; creates school rosters and school matrices; administers specialized systems;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Associates degree or two-year technical certificate in information technology, computer science, or a related field; and two to three years of computer support experience.

- Knowledge of customer service principles and ability to provide customer service;
- Knowledge of applicable hardware, software, media, telecommunications, and/or related equipment; including Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workplace for Education, and Office 365.
- Knowledge of applicable computer and operating systems;
- Knowledge of basic inventory principles and database management techniques;
- Ability to perform technology troubleshooting techniques and managing databases;
- Ability to meet strict time deadlines and to prioritize work accordingly;
- Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions;
