Lead the Record Story
As Manager, Health Information Management (HIM), you’ll steer HIM services across our multi-facility integrated healthcare system—championing compliance, best-practice training, and rock-solid record integrity. You’ll ensure medical records are compiled, processed, and maintained to meet medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Direct daily HIM department operations and supervise all HIM staff
- Set performance goals, organize workflow, and clarify delegated tasks
- Track productivity; coach, resolve issues, and manage complaints
- Maintain timekeeping/personnel records; share updates up and down the chain
- Prepare performance reports; support hiring, training, rewards, promotions, and discipline
Required qualifications/skills:
- Bachelor’s or master’s in HIM or related field preferred
- RHIA or RHIT required within one year of hire
- 3 years in Health Information Management; operational experience preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements
- Strong English communication; additional languages preferred; excellent customer service
