DAY TO DAY AS A ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER - NURSE PRACTITIONER OR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
As a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider at Southwest Health System, Inc., you'll be at the forefront of direct patient care, working with a diverse population while fostering a tight-knit team atmosphere. Collaborating closely with physicians, you'll assess, diagnose, and treat patients with complex wounds, crafting individualized care plans that prioritize patient well-being. Your expertise will allow you to perform specialized treatments, including wound debridement and cleaning, while demonstrating strong leadership skills essential for delivering exceptional healthcare. You'll play a critical role in managing both outpatient care and emergency room consultations, ensuring seamless communication and follow-through on referrals.
With a focus on maintaining accurate documentation of wound assessments and patient progress, you'll contribute significantly to enhancing the quality of care within our relaxed yet professional culture.
ARE YOU THE ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER - NURSE PRACTITIONER OR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
To thrive as a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider at Southwest Health System, Inc., you'll need a unique blend of qualifications and skills that underscore your commitment to excellence in patient care. Successful candidates must have completed a certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program and hold both Colorado state and national certifications.
You must demonstrate the ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with healthcare providers, ensuring high-quality patient care and fostering a trusting environment for patients and their caregivers. Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills are crucial for success in this role.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
Requirements:
- Completion of a certified PA or NP program with a Colorado state and national certification as evidenced by a certificate of appropriate certification entity.
- Current and unrestricted license issued by certifying body
- Able to work independently while also collaborating with appropriate providers to ensure high quality patient care.
Nurse Practitioner
- Current unrestricted Colorado registered nursing license and Advanced Practice license with a prescriptive endorsement. Completion of a Masters post master's or doctorate degree in a NP program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
Physician Assistant
- Completion of a certified state and national certification as evidenced by a certificate of Physician Assistant status by the National Commission on Certification and testing by the State Board of Medical Examiners. Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license issued by the Colorado Board of Medicine. Current and unrestricted DEA
