POSITION INFORMATION
Position summary:
The Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse who focuses on the care of patients with life threatening illnesses. The NP performs to the full scope of his/her license demonstrating competent clinical knowledge and clinical practice, education collaboration, consultation and research. The NP's overarching efforts are focused on relieving suffering, enhancing comfort, promoting quality of life and fostering choice in end of life care for all patients and their families.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
MSN or DNP with specialty in Hospice & Palliative Care, Adult and/or Geriatrics, Oncology
Required length and type of experience:
1 year experience in home health, hospital or hospice/palliative care setting
Required licensure, certification or registry:
1 year experience in home health, hospital or hospice/palliative care setting
