As a Front Office Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals. Your primary responsibility is to create a welcoming and efficient environment, ensuring smooth operation of the front desk and providing excellent customer service. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining a positive patient experience. Below are some responsibilities with this position. It is a versatile position with a variety of duties.
- Warmly greeting and accurately checking in patients using company software
- Managing large amounts of incoming phone calls and providing information, routing inquiries, and addressing patient needs or concerns.
- Scheduling appointments accurately and efficiently using electronic scheduling system
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with privacy regulations
- Work closely with medical staff (providers, medical assistants, etc.) and other administrative personnel to ensure efficient clinic operations
- Have the ability to work on multiple things at once with interruptions
- Pay close attention to detail while moving at a fast pace
- Have professional communication through speech and writing
- Be calm, positive, and patient when assisting others
- Medical experience may be helpful, but is not necessary
- Complete general tasks as assigned
