What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office Receptionist position at Associates for Psychiatric and Mental Health?
Associates for Psychiatric and Mental Health (APMH), a small privately-owned progressive agency, is looking for a part-time receptionist to join our team for 15 hrs/week. Our ideal candidate is ready to learn and adapt to the needs of our agency and staff, with the ultimate goal of providing outstanding service to clients in our community.

Duties
- Answering front desk phone calls and emails
- Properly handling new patient inquiries based on clinician availability and patient benefits
- Helping patients access the patient portal of our EHR
- Patient scheduling or rescheduling
- Greeting patients and checking them in
- Collecting payments both in person and via the phone
- Other duties as assigned

This is, at times, a fast-paced job that requires a lot of attention to detail, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize. Above all, this is a position that requires kindness and warmth.
Hours: M-Th 2:00PM-5:15PM, F 8:00AM-1:00PM
Location: On site
Compensation: $18-$21/ hr DOE.
Requirements:
- HS diploma; AA preferred
- Highly organized, self directed and takes initiative
- Excellent communication skills, professional and discrete
