65% field-based within your assigned territory and 35% office-based at our Fort Lauderdale office
Overview:
This role is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of elevator modernization, service, and repair in their territory. This role requires building strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities to extend the life and performance of elevator systems, and delivering tailored solutions that align with customer needs and budgets. The representative partners closely with building owners, property managers, consultants, and the operations team to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue opportunities for elevator modernization, service contracts, and repair work by maintaining strong market awareness and customer relationships.
- Build your pipeline by driving new leads in your territory through cold calling, attending networking events, and creating strong local connections.
- Conduct site surveys, review equipment condition, and collaborate with the operations team to prepare accurate proposal and quotes.
- Present proposals to customers, clearly explaining cost factors, value, and the benefits of modernization, service, and repair options.
- Partner with customers to develop capital plans addressing both short-term repairs and long-term strategies.
- Collaborate with operations team to ensure scope, terms, and profitability are clearly defined and agreed upon.
- Oversee the full sales cycle from initial contact, through bid proposal, approval, and contract execution, while continuing to manage and grow the customer account thereafter.
- Utilize CRM tools to manage the sales pipeline, track activity, and maintain accurate forecasts.
- Attend job walks, customer meetings, and project site visits to support ongoing customer engagement and ensure project alignment with expectations.
- Monitor project progress and support operations to ensure timelines, quality, and customer needs are met.
- Assist with collections and contract compliance as necessary.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of sales experience in the elevator industry.
- MUST be comfortable with cold calling & drive new business
- Highly Self-Motivated
- Ability to travel 50 % of time in your territory (must have car and driver license)
- Excellent organizational & communication skills
- Superb Customer Service Skills
- Proficiency in excel, Microsoft, outlook, Smartsheet
- Understanding of sales performance metrics and quotas
- Capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand fundamental engineering concepts
