Entry-Level Requirements
Minimum Requirements & Capabilities
- Meets SWECS minimum eligibility requirements for new hires
- Positive attitude with a strong eagerness to learn
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent attendance record
- Maintains a minimum required tool list
- At least 3-7 years of work experience in BAS or the electrical trade
- Knowledgeable in EMCS systems, electrical installation materials, and wiring methods
- Can be trusted to work independently for extended periods
- Ability to install conduit raceways and control wiring as directed by supervisor
- Capable of executing installation of floor-level EMCS systems
- OSHA 10-Hour Safety Certification required
- Capable of reading and interpreting MEP plans and specifications
- Capable of reading and interpreting EMCS system submittal drawings
- Able to execute installation of mechanical room-level EMCS systems
- Install conduit, raceways, control wiring, and EMCS devices
- Install control panels, sensors, actuators, and related BAS components
- Follow project drawings, specifications, and SWECS safety standards
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors and project teams
- Keep job sites organized, safe, and compliant
- Meet project timelines while maintaining quality workmanship
