Concrete Estimator

We are currently recruiting for a Concrete Estimator to be based in our Dallas office. In this role, you will be responsible for estimating our Concrete division projects. Job Duties

• 
  Estimating new concrete construction and concrete repair projects
• 
  Start up, takeoff, review specifications of plans for Concrete Division
• 
  Provide accurate and detailed estimates to achieve profitable work from clients
• 
  Complete takeoffs from plan, specifications and quantitative bids
• 
  Contact customers for takeoff questions
• 
  Attend weekly meetings to discuss bid schedule
• 
  Jobsite walkthroughs; site visits may be required when needed
• 
  Assist in any form of estimating procedure to help success of company
• 
  Develop and manage schedules in collaboration with Production & Estimating leadership
• 
  Work closely with in-house Sales teams to assist in reviewing bids and developing proposals
• 
  Ability to develop customers and maintain customer relationships
• 
  Take part in preplanning and ensuring project execution
• 
  Attend in-house project meetings
• 
  Communicate with General Contractors, Vendors, Subcontractors, and Management Staff
• 
  Other duties as assigned

Office hours are M-F 7am-4pm

Job Requirements & Preferred Skills

• 
  3 years of experience in construction estimating 
• 
  Strong knowledge of OST, Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel
• 
  Concrete specific estimating preferred
• 
  Excellent analytical skills
• 
  Ability to read and understand plans
• 
  Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• 
  Proficient in converting & editing documents 
• 
  Excellent written and oral communication skills
