Overview
Berkeley Treatment Center (BTC) is a newly opened Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. BTC is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to provide patient-centered care within our outpatient program. This role includes assesment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with opioid use disorder through medication-assisted treatment (MAT). The nurse practitioner collaborates with interdisciplianary teams to ensure continuity of care, supports regulatory compliance ( DEA, SAMHSA, and DPH), and promotes overall physical and behavioral health outcomes for a diverse population.
Nurse Practitioner Duties
- Conduct patient evaluations, admissions, and annual physicals
- Diagnose opioid use disorder using DSM-5 criteria
- Prescribe and manage medications (Methadone, Suboxone®, Subutex)
- Review labs, PDMP reports, and patient progress
- Provide patient education on treatment and overall health
- Coordinate care for patients with co-occurring conditions
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner license (South Carolina)
- Current DEA license with Schedules II and III in good standing
- SC Controlled Substance Registration
- Preferred but not required, experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or MAT
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
