Southview Acres Health Care Center is looking for a Cook to join our team!

Responsibilities for Cook:
- Report to and follows directions from Dietary Manager.
- Maintain accurate food counts
- Will prep meals following Facility Recipes
- Rotate stock items as per procedures
- Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
- Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures and by following food, health, and safety procedures
- Prepares items to be used for next day’s meals
- Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
- The ability to read and follow standardized recipes
- High school education or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write and speak in English effectively to use recipes, prepare meals and communicate effectively.
- Three years of food service experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Serv-Safe Certification preferred
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
