What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School English Teacher position at Southside Christian School?
Southside is seeking a passionate and dynamic Middle School English Teacher to inspire and engage students. The teacher will teach two subjects of three classes each. 3 periods of Literature and 3 periods of writing and grammar taught as separate classes. Each section is 45 minutes a day.

This teacher would need to design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards to promote literacy, creative writing, and analytical skills. Our faculty utilizes BJU textbooks. Experience with that curriculum is helpful but is not required.
Southside Christian School is a discipleship school that hires Christian teachers and enrolls students whose parents have provided a letter of reference from a church of like-faith. We currently have over 100 local churches represented in the student body.
In addition to teaching, we are seeking teachers with a heart to invest in the lives of students. Our mission is to impact the next generation for Christ by developing intellectual leaders who are developing a Biblical worldview.
The teacher will utilize Curriculum Trak, RenWeb, and the Google Workspace Apps. Training will be provided to ensure the teacher is comfortable with these programs, and the teacher may have the textbooks at the end of May to begin reviewing.
Salary : $34,000 - $40,000
