Duties
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children of different ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and outdoor play to promote healthy development.
- Support classroom activities by engaging children in educational games, arts and crafts, storytime, and developmental exercises aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Collaborate with lead teachers and caregivers to implement behavior management strategies that foster positive social interactions.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times; monitor children closely during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Adapt quickly to changing schedules or needs across multiple classrooms or activity areas as a floater.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and daily experiences.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or caregiving roles is highly preferred.
- Classroom experience in early childhood education or childhood development settings is advantageous.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and childhood development milestones is essential.
- Certifications such as first aid and CPR are required; additional training in working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle infants’ and toddlers’ needs with patience and compassion.
- Familiarity with safety standards related to childcare environments and experience implementing them effectively.
