Job Summary
Parts Delivery Drivers are the front-line employees representing Southport Truck to most of our customers. The job is focused on 3 key areas: verifying and delivering parts, collecting payment when indicated, and picking up parts returns from customers.
Essential Duties
- Verifying and labeling orders for delivery to customers.
- Loading vehicle with parts securely to ensure safety and access to parts according to order of stops.
- Drive safely utilizing GPS and obeying all laws and rules of the road.
- Deliver parts to customers utilizing tablet to document delivery and take Proof of Delivery photo.
- Pickup returns from customers and document all required information.
- Handle and process payments from customers as indicated.
- Build and develop relationships with customers to help drive growth.
- Assist in Parts Department as needed.
- Pull customer orders as needed.
- Pickup parts from vendors.
- Follow all safety guidelines.
- Other duties and tasks, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be willing and able to sit for long periods.
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 50lbs throughout shift.
- Must be willing and able to turn, pivot, step up, and step down.
- Must be willing and able to walk 3 miles a shift.
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
- Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record meeting guidelines set forth by the company's insurance carrier.
- Computer literate with the willingness to learn the software programs utilized by the Company.
Salary : $18 - $21
