What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Driver position at SOUTHPORT TRUCK GROUP?
Job Summary
Drive a tractor-trailer combination to verify quality of repair performed on a customer's vehicle.
Essential Duties
- Perform test drives on customer vehicles following repairs.
- Deliver customer’s vehicles when the service department has performed service on the vehicle.
- Perform Quality Control inspections on vehicles following repair (mechanical knowledge a plus).
- Keep the service lot neat and orderly, including arranging vehicles, fueling, and ensuring that vehicles are locked on a weekly basis.
- Maintain professional appearance.
- Customer service focus both internal and external.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid CDL license and be able to drive vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
- Strong knowledge of failures and repair processes are essential
- Ability to work with a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to get in and out of a semi-truck safely
Salary : $18 - $22
