Overview
Southport Marketing, Inc. is a full-service experiential marketing and promotions agency seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to oversee experiential marketing programs for the Mid-America Chevy Dealers and other regional and national client accounts. This position is responsible for managing client relationships, developing strategic marketing initiatives, coordinating promotional events, and ensuring successful program execution from planning through completion.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized professional with a passion for experiential marketing, client service, and event management. This individual should be comfortable working remotely while collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned client accounts and serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day communications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, dealerships, event promoters, vendors, and strategic partners.
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing programs and support business growth.
- Present program recommendations and marketing solutions to clients.
- Research and evaluate event opportunities that align with client marketing objectives.
- Coordinate vehicle logistics with Chevrolet dealerships for promotional displays and activations.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute local and regional experiential marketing events.
- Oversee event setup, operation, and teardown while ensuring brand standards are maintained.
- Supervise event staff and brand ambassadors to ensure successful execution.
- Provide on-site management for promotional programs and client events.
- Develop and manage project budgets and monitor expenses.
- Create project schedules and ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Coordinate vendors, suppliers, venues, and event logistics.
- Prepare project status reports, presentations, and post-event recaps.
- Collaborate with the Southport Marketing team to develop strategic promotional campaigns and experiential marketing programs.
- Assist with new business development, proposals, and client presentations.
- Support marketing initiatives across automotive, lifestyle, sports, technology, and special event programs.
Requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in agency account management, experiential marketing, event marketing, promotions, or client services.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Valid U.S. Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel locally and work evenings and weekends as required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Ability to lift and move promotional materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to travel locally for client meetings and events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing experiential marketing events and promotional campaigns.
- Experience building and maintaining client relationships.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry, particularly dealership marketing.
- Experience with social media, digital marketing, and integrated marketing campaigns.
- Experience supervising event staff, brand ambassadors, or promotional teams.
