What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clean-Up position at Southport Forest Products LLC?
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain production areas, including removing sawdust, wood scraps, and debris.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste materials properly.
- Train on and operate various machinery.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as lubricating equipment and cleaning machinery.
- Ensure walkways and work areas are clear of obstacles to maintain a safe environment.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning routines as assigned.
- Report any safety hazards, spills, or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
- Assist with other tasks as needed to support mill operations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience: No experience is necessary. Experience as a laborer or in an industrial setting is a plus.Some consistent work history is desired.
