Summary:
Responsible for ensuring effective loan service functions for SouthPoint Bank. This position handles moderate to complex loan and accounts.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for and will comply with all of the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and other related regulations as they pertain to my job
- Must comply with all state and federal banking laws and regulations
- Must comply with Bank lending policies and procedures
- Assist customers/co-workers with internal/external questions/problems on loans
- Obtains applicable due diligence items needed for preparation of loan document packages.
- Prepares loan documents for all consumer/commercial and construction financing needs
- Review all commercial and consumer loan request and prepared documentation for accuracy and compliance prior to customer signing
- Order flood determination
- Order title commitments (review/work & clear exceptions on commitment)
- Work directly with closing attorney as needed
- Provide payoff quotes
- Coordinating and scheduling of loan closing with customers as needed
- Collateral release
- Prepare wires request
- Prepare line of credit draws/commercial draws as approved and needed
- Process loan payments
- Process loan maintenance
- Track and clear exceptions for loan documentation
- Assist department manager with special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in loan processing and underwriting
- Strong understanding of TILA and Fair Housing regulations
- Familiarity with FNMA guidelines and mortgage servicing
- Background in financial services with loan origination expertise
- Proficient in credit analysis and contract management
- Basic math skills and experience with escrow processes
- Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
