Job Purpose
The Business Data Analyst is a key part that helps to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Firm. The position is responsible for the ongoing analysis of Firm workflow, task and financial data, obtained from a variety of different sources. This involves development and preparation of information, reconciliations and reports for departments and management.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Subject matter expert for the Case Management data system
- Build and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), dashboards, reports, and data related products in a supportable and extensive way using organizationally accepted tools and methods
- Identify patterns and trends in data sets to support process improvement efforts to maintain or meet Firm goals or opportunities
- Analyze results of data reports for anomalies, accuracy, and applicability to work with department leaders, BPM and QA teams for discussion
- Provides reporting and support as needed for data intensive projects throughout implementation
- Responsible for monitoring progress and maintaining reporting to ensure post go-live adherence to expectations
- Review & analyze data to answer financial & technical questions
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data or business analysis
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL, Excel, and Power BI
- Ability to express complex analytical concepts effectively, both verbally and written
- Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data in a variety of formats and to provide recommendations and support in establishing expectations
- Demonstrated effectiveness in working with multi-functional teams in a technical production workflow environment
- Superior attention to detail to synthesize data from multiple sources
- Ability to multitask without sacrificing the quality and accuracy of the analytical data captured.
- Eligible to work in the United States
Working Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Requirements
The ability to work in an office environment, in front of a computer, while typing documents, responding to emails, managing calendars and answering phones.
