Manager of Special Projects

Position Summary

Directs the overall planning and scheduling of Special Projects, significantly contributing to the achievement of company, division, and project objectives and ensuring maximum operating results.

Position Details

• Supports the implementation of project management processes, policies, and procedures within the corporate policy.
• Provides detailed inputs on constructability, cost control, and scheduling during the planning and execution stages of projects.
• Monitors project performance against plans and standards, providing feedback to team members, and escalates issues as needed.
• Supports the achievement of short- and long-term goals, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.
• Identifies and resolves project-specific challenges, coordinating with staff and cross-functional teams to maintain smooth operations.
• Collaborates in cross-functional projects and shares operational best practices.
• Supports budget monitoring and cost analysis activities to maintain financial control of assigned projects.
• Identifies staff training needs and supports career development.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent education, training and/or experience.
• 10 years of experience in mechanical construction operations, including industrial and specialty construction experience
• Knowledge of company operations and philosophy
• Proficient organizational and analytical skills
• Outstanding leadership and communication skills
• Ability to successfully establish and achieve corporate, group, and project goals
