The opportunity
Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time Housepersons to join our lodging team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. As a Hotel Houseperson, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning of hotel public areas, rooms, and restrooms in accordance with operating standards.

What will you do?
- Notify managers if major repairs or additions to building operating systems are needed
- Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors and steam clean carpets
- Drive vans, industrial trucks, and other vehicles required to travel to or perform cleaning work
- Remove dirty linens and transport clean linens to housekeeping carts and storage closets
More about you
- 1 year working in the hospitality industry preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures
- Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Physical requirements
- Frequent walking, standing, and kneeling for the entire length of the shift
- Use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete washing duties
- Able to lift to 50 pounds
- Visual acuity is sufficient to inspect the cleanliness of rooms and surfaces
- Working conditions include being regularly exposed to fumes and toxic or caustic chemicals
