Job Description: Porter – Full Time

Responsibilities:

·       Lift, move, and rearrange tables, chairs, and other furniture for general dining or special events. Both indoors and outdoors.

·       Cleans and maintains all indoors and outdoors restrooms. Both public and staff restrooms.

·       Cleans and maintains all venues of the clubhouse. This includes but is not limited to the Grand Dining Room, Bar, Board Room, gym, Grill Room, and other various rooms.

·       Assist in the cleanliness of the waiter station and kitchen

·       Empty any and all trash bins on the clubhouse grounds.

·       Bring beverage supplies to Main bar and Tiki Bar.

·       Am porter helps receive and check in food & beverage deliveries.

·       Assist with minor repairs to the clubhouse.

·       Any other jobs the on-duty manager may request of you.

·       Porters at Southern Yacht Club need to be physically prepared to lift up to 70lbs during their shift multiple times. Reach, bend, stoop, and wipe frequently. Be able to stay on their feet for multiple hours in the day.

·       Assist in storm preparations and clean up afterwards.

·       Experience is preferred but not required. The right attitude a must.

·       Hourly: From $14 per hour

Reports to:

Clubhouse Manager

Qualifications:

·       High school diploma or equivalent.

·       Trustworthy and dependable. Willing to listen and learn.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be a legal resident

Second oldest yacht club in the U.S. (1849).
