**USF Scenic Carpenter**
The Tony-award winning UTAH SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL, a professional theater company in residence at Southern Utah University, is accepting applications for Production Staff for the 2026 season. The Utah Shakespeare Festival produces an eight-show repertory season and three Green Shows across four venues in the summer/fall of each year. Position details below.
Employment dates are from late January to late April or mid July. Housing provided.
Scenic Carpenter: Constructs and loads-in all scenic elements for assigned productions. Completes shop improvement and organization projects as assigned.

**Education & Experience**
Minimum Qualifications
- Intermediate and advanced experience in proper and safe use of typical shop tools and equipment, wood and steel construction techniques or other related technical theater fields.
- Knowledge of safe operations of all tools and equipment used in typical theatrical construction and installation for wood and steel (personnel lifts, linesets, etc.)
- Must be able to carry 50 lbs. for 50 feet unassisted.
- Must be able to use ladders as a part of daily tasks.
Position is contingent on funding.
