Position Summary
The Classroom Aide serves under the direction of the Education Supervisor as a second or third adult staff member in the classroom to assist with supervising children ages 3 to 5. Supports teachers with class routines, activities, and active supervision.
This position may be regularly scheduled, serve as a substitute, or be on-call, depending on needs.

This position is contingent on funding.

Essential Functions
- Acts as a Teacher Aide in the classroom including supervising and interacting with children during circle time, singing, transitions, reading stories, and participating with children in learning centers.
- Aide assists the teachers with active supervision including keeping children safe, healthy, and well-supervised in the classroom and on the playground.
- Assist teachers with behavior management. Model positive classroom management and promote respect for all children and adults.
- Model appropriate hand washing, tooth brushing, and table manners for the children.
- Assist with cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing toys, floors, and other common areas and surfaces in the classroom.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma Required
- Early Childhood Experience
