Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for various warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and materials handling. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse environment and possess the skills necessary to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and cranes for loading and unloading materials.
- Perform picking and packing of orders accurately to meet shipping deadlines.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for tracking inventory movements.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, including inspecting incoming shipments for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with the warehouse supervisor to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to facilitate smooth operations.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols during all tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is a plus.
- Familiarity with inventory management practices and systems is a plus.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts.
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and packaging standards.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the shift.
