Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, power tools, hand tools, and farm machinery to perform lawn spraying and pest control tasks.
- Accurately apply pesticides, herbicides, and other chemical agents following pesticide management guidelines and safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough inspections of outdoor areas to identify pest issues using entomology knowledge and integrated pest management strategies.
- Use ladders safely for elevated applications, ensuring ladder safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain detailed records of chemical applications, pest activity, and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain treatment plans, answer questions, and ensure high levels of customer service satisfaction.
- Follow all safety protocols including respiratory protection, confined space entry procedures, and chemical handling regulations to protect yourself and others.
Requirements
- Proven outdoor work experience in lawn care, farming, landscaping, or agriculture environments.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools, hand tools, farm machinery, and ladder use confidently.
- Knowledge of pesticide application techniques, pest control methods, and integrated pest management principles.
- Familiarity with safety protocols such as ladder safety procedures, confined space entry safety procedures, respiratory protection use, and chemical agent handling.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles; familiarity with company vehicle operation is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Basic understanding of entomology related to pest identification and control strategies is a plus.
