What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stone Fabricator position at Southern Stone of NC INC?
Job Summary
As a natural stone and quartz fabricator, you will be responsible for the shaping and polishing of countertops and other stone surfaces. You will work alongside experienced team members and receive hands-on training to hone in your skills in fabrication. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, punctuality, and eager to learn and work. Workdays are Monday through Friday with little to no work on weekends.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment and machinery used in the fabrication process.
- Fabricate components according to blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
- Utilize forklifts for the movement of materials within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance on equipment.
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication processes is beneficial.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is beneficial.
