DISTINGUISHING JOB CHARACTERISTICS
The Regional Coordinator is a spokesperson and ambassador for the Ohio Code Scholar program. Primary responsibilities include championing student success through collaboration, relationship building, and event leadership. Serving as a conduit between partnering schools, their faculty, and the Southern State team supporting Ohio Code Scholars, the centrality of this role lies in helping partnering schools and students succeed in developing technology skills for workforce competitiveness. Essential responsibilities include supporting the Ohio Code Scholar leaders and facilitating technical and program support in the field. Cultivating relationships to extend the Ohio Code Scholar footprint is an integral component of the role. Employment is contingent upon ongoing grant funding and performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement | proactively coordinate coalition partners – including educators (K-12), educational service centers, local businesses, and post-secondary institutions to expand and strengthen program reach; build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, serving as a central communication contact for the region.
Data and Outcomes Measurement | manage program participation data (e.g., school and student participation counts), and analyze month-to-month progression and needs of the K-12 institutions to achieve program success; monitor milestone progression, assess program fidelity, and prepare clear updates for both internal and external reporting. Ensure the execution of pre- and post-completion surveys at partnering schools for the appropriate audiences.
Program Implementation and Support | Provide support as needed and assess when additional technical assistance is required to ensure successful project execution. Act as the institution’s point of observation to identify and address classroom project needs.
Communication and Outreach | Draft newsletters, reports, and social media content highlighting student achievements, regional engagement, and program impact. Collaborate closely with the assigned marketing and communications team to ensure consistent messaging and visibility.
Organizational and Project Management | demonstrate strong organizational skills – manage timelines, budget awareness, program and project awareness; administrative tasks to ensure program initiatives run smoothly; serve as a regional point of contact, maintaining high standards of program delivery and responsiveness.
Work with all stakeholders associated with the College Credit Plus program to inform and communicate possible obstacles or metrics related to the delivery and execution of the CCP requirements to those participating schools.
Assist with employer relationships in the region to provide internships for junior and seniors in the program; work with those students to establish a Handshake account; offer virtual or in-person workshops for resume building, professional networking accounts such as LinkedIn, and soft skill attainment | utilization of a badging system for completion.
Collect, analyze, and maintain data on student performance, retention, completion, and post-graduation outcomes, ensuring accuracy and integrity across all reporting systems for Southern State Community College's Computer Technology students.
Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement through data analysis, with a focus on student outcomes and academic performance.
Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and program leaders to design and implement strategies that improve student retention, completion rates, and career readiness.
Provide outcome data and analysis to support grant applications, strategic planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Willingness to learn new systems and platforms for student outcome preparedness and attainment.

QUALIFICATIONS
An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
The preferred candidate would hold an Associate’s degree, or higher, with a knowledge of computer technology applications such as robotics, coding, networking, programming, etc.
