SUMMARY
The Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) delivers high-quality, patient-centered interventional pain management care in collaboration with supervising physicians and the broader clinical team. This role is responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic pain conditions using evidence-based, minimally invasive therapies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Care
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinical staff to develop safe, balanced, and patient-focused pain management treatment plans.
- Perform comprehensive and problem-focused patient assessments including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat patients with acute and chronic pain conditions using evidence-based, minimally invasive therapies.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with applicable state regulations and PartnerCare protocols.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic health records.
- Initiate referrals and consultations when patient needs exceed scope of practice.
Clinical Quality & Collaboration
- Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives and contribute to APP-level clinical protocols as directed.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinical leadership on care delivery standards and patient outcomes.
- Model clinical excellence and PartnerCare’s CARE values in all patient and team interactions.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and patients to support efficient, high-quality patient flow.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensure
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program required.
- Current NCCPA certification required for PA candidates; AANP or ANCC certification required for NP candidates.
- Active and unrestricted state PA or APRN license required.
- DEA registration with Schedule II authority required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
- New graduates welcome to apply; minimum 2 years of APP clinical experience preferred. Experience in pain management or interventional specialty care a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to manage a high volume of patients while maintaining attention to detail and clinical accuracy.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and standard clinical documentation practices; eClinicalWorks experience a plus.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative, physician-led clinical team.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is based onsite at a PartnerCare clinic location. The environment is fast-paced and clinically focused, requiring strong clinical judgment and a commitment to patient-centered care. Regular interaction with supervising physicians, clinical staff, and patients is expected. This position may require travel to other clinic locations with mileage reimbursement provided.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ABILITIES
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity to perform patient examinations and operate standard clinical and office equipment.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this role.

- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program (AANP Certification)
- Maintains current and unrestricted state license with a DEA with Schedule II
