We are expanding our production team and seeking a practical, hands-on Sign Fabrication & Installation Specialist. Whether your background is in sign making, general construction, framing, or maintenance trades—if you are good with your hands and know how to solve practical problems on a job site, we want to hear from you.
Position Overview
In this role, you will help build custom signs in our shop and take them out into the field to install. You’ll work with a variety of materials and power tools, adapt to site-specific challenges, and ensure every project is built right and mounted securely.
Key Responsibilities1. Fabrication & Shop Production
- Material Processing: Cut, route, shape, and assemble materials including aluminum, acrylic, PVC, wood, and vinyl graphics.
- Tool Operation: Safely operate and maintain shop equipment (panel saws, CNC routers, spray systems, and hand/power tools).
- Quality & Safety: Follow blueprints and shop specs to ensure high-quality construction; maintain a safe and clean shop environment.
2. Field Installation & Site Work
- Sign Mounting: Safely install monument signs, building lettering, channel letters, and structural post/panel signs.
- Elevated Work: Operate aerial lifts, bucket trucks, ladders, and scaffolding at varying heights and in different weather conditions.
- Field Problem-Solving: Think on your feet when site conditions present unexpected issues—adjusting hardware, anchors, or framing to ensure a safe, level, and clean installation.
3. Maintenance & Repairs
- Service Calls: Perform field repairs on damaged, worn, or weathered signs.
- Site Preparation: Ensure install locations are prepped, structural anchors are secure, and sites are left clean upon completion.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Hands-On Trade Experience: Background in commercial construction, framing, cabinet making, carpentry, general maintenance, or sign fabrication.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong ability to work with hand and power tools, measure accurately, and build structural assemblies.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Able to evaluate site obstacles and figure out practical, real-time solutions in the field.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for long periods, and work comfortably at heights.
- Licensing: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Blueprints & Plans: Comfort reading simple layout drawings or shop specs.
Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills)
- Basic electrical/LED wiring or lighting diagnostic experience
- Experience operating bucket trucks, scissor lifts, etc.
