- Manage and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive rates while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to refine estimates, ensuring alignment with project goals and budgets.
- Monitor cost control throughout the project lifecycle by tracking expenses, managing budgets, and adjusting estimates as needed.
- Assist in managing contracts, bids, and proposals while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong background in interpreting technical drawings and construction plans.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects as a construction estimator from initial bid through project completion.
- Solid understanding of construction site operations, material requirements from blueprints, and cost management strategies.
- Experience negotiating contracts and pricing with vendors or subcontractors to optimize project budgets.
- Knowledge of construction management principles including cost control, project management practices, and contract administration.
- Construction-related experience that provides insight into site conditions, safety standards, and project workflows is highly desirable.
