What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant position at Southern Resort Group?
- Responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linen, terry, and other laundry for the hotel/resort
- Duties include, but are not limited to: Sorting laundry, treating stains, loading/unloading laundry into washing machines, transferring clean laundry to the dryer, operating an industrial size ironer, folding large and small terry
- Responsible for performing additional laundry services when necessary
- Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and regular cleaning of machines and carts, and emptying lint traps daily
- Responsible for turning in any guest items (blankets, clothing, jewelry, etc) to a manager to be returned to the guest as quickly as possible
- Responsible for assisting with other responsibilities and duties in the absence of other team members or other tasks assigned by the manager
- Must be detail-oriented to ensure quality standards
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, bend, and twist
- Must be willing to stand for long periods of time.
