What are the responsibilities and job description for the District Right-of-Way Coordinator position at Southern Pine Electric?
The purpose of the job is to ensure that the system Rights-of-Way are cut and sprayed in a manner which is fiscally responsible and environmentally sound. The requirements for the position are:
- Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
- Must have three years of ROW experience or related experience.
- Must possess a valid Class A Mississippi driver's license or obtain one within the first 6 month of employment.
- Must be able to work irregular hours, weekends, or during all types of weather conditions.
- Must have advanced knowledge regarding ROW equipment, procedures and practices.
- Must complete herbicide and arboriculture training required by the Cooperative.
- Must be able to manage own time and the time of others.
- Must be able to talk to others and convey information effectively.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with other employees, contractors, and members to answer questions and solve problems.
- Must have knowledge and understanding of Southern Pine Electric Safety manual, vegetation management plan, company policies and operational procedures, and Local and State regulations as they relate to this position.
- Must have coordination knowledge for people and resources.
- Must be able to communicate to others the guidelines used when cutting or reclaiming existing ROW
- Must have the ability to operate a computer/smart device and be proficient in Excel and Word in order to update spread sheets and complete work reports.
- Must present a professional manner that will enhance the Cooperative's image.
