Summary: Responsible for instructing students in gymnastics through one on one and class settings by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Performs other duties as needed and assigned.
- Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students varying needs and interests.
- Conducts classes and workshops and demonstrations and provides individual instruction to students.
- Monitors student’s performance to make suggestions for improvement and to ensure that they satisfy training requirements and objectives.
- Observes students to determine qualifications, limitations, abilities, interests, and other individual characteristics.
- Establishes clear objectives for all lessons and classes and communicates those objectives to students.
- Prepares equipment and facilities for class activities.
- Enforces policies and rules governing students.
- Plans and conducts activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
- Prepares instructional program objectives, outlines, and lesson plans.
- Attends professional meetings, conferences, and workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Reviews instructional content methods and student evaluations to assess strengths and weaknesses and to develop recommendations for course revision, development, or elimination.
- Meets and greets parents and students prior to the beginning of class.
- Assists students in the preparation for competitions.
- Maintains a record of student’s skills in the company software to ensure students have reached adequate skill levels for advancement.
- Maintains class attendance in the company software.
- Adheres to company policies, USA Gymnastics guidelines, and SAFE Act requirements in the strictest of manners.
- Responsible for working birthday parties, open gym, parent night outs, or other events as necessary.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Google Sheets, Google Drive, and iClassPro or other registration software.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training:
- iClassPro or other class registration software is a plus
