What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vital Records Supervisor position at Southern Nevada Health District?
The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) announces an examination process to create an eligibility list to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Vital Records Manager in the Vital Records Department. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to four (4) months.
Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily operations, activities, and staff of an assigned Vital Records function; implements established policies and procedures and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant service delivery.

Education, Training, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public health, health information management, business or public administration, or a related field, and four (4) years of experience in vital records, health information, or a related healthcare or governmental setting, including one (1) year lead or supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain and maintain, a Nevada Driver license within six (6) months of employment.
- Experience with Birth and Death Certificates preferred
- Previous experience working with hospitals preferred
- Knowledge of NRS preferred.
